Probiotics for dogs

I have a just barely one year old Kelpie dog. When I first got her she had horrible gas, but I passed this off as her stomach transitioning from cheap food to her new food. For the last 5-6 months she has been having soft stools and even explosive diarrhea from time to time. We started to play around with the idea of her having some sort of poultry intolerance and after a change to a lamb only food she seemed to improve. But only a week or two after she seemed to get better, it all started up again. So I changed her food again, back to a chicken based food. Again, she seemed to feel better and things calmed down, but in the last couple of days I am starting to see the same problems I used to see. I have had multiple suggestions from vets and other sources mentioning that probiotics might be something to try, so naturally I started to do some research.

I apologize if I missinterpreted some information but this is how I understand it. Probiotics are essential in a healthy digestive process, and natuarlly present in the gut. However, under certain circumstances, these little helpers can be decreased in numbers. These circumstances being things like stress, poor food, and antibiotics. None of which she has experienced in the last 6 months. So I am not sure if she really has low levels of probiotics if they have (in theory) never been killed off.

I know that was alot of stuff, just wanted to give detail So what do you think? Would probiotics help her?
Just a few things to add considering some of the suggestions I have seen:

First of all, thank you all for the suggestions so far, I wonder if any of this will help too.

She eats a diet of one cup kibble and one cup “mix’ consisting of hamburger, rice, egg, mixed vegetables, fish oil, glucosamine, and a “stinky” tab.

She also has been tested and has no internal parasites.
sorry, one more thing, we did try putting her on an exclusively homemade diet of rice, and then added some eggs to see if it was a diet problem. There was very little change
