We took our dog to the vet at the start of this week, because she had been having bouts of diarrhea on and off. Half diarrhea/half softly formed stool. She also had her all wormer tablet the same day before she went to the vet.
I gave him a stool sample and he said it wasn’t normal, but it wasn’t alarming. She has also been losing weight lately.
She was 15.63kg at the start of May, and is now just over 15kg.
We’ve been adding probiotics and psyllium husks (fiber) to her food and her stool has been small, firm and normal for about 3 days now. This morning she had abit of mucus around it. But the stool was small and firm. Same colour as the stool.
She’s due to be taken back to the vet next week. Should I try and beg my parents to take her earlier?
In terms of her behaviour, everything’s normal. Extremely hyperactive, drinks enough water, good appetite.
She’s 10 and never had any diet problems before.
I always forget something.
She’s had a blood test in Feb and the start of May and there were no problems there.
She’s eating Dr Billinghurst’s Lamb BARF variety.
